Local Food

I will introduce Keichan. Keichan is a local cuisine in Gifu prefecture. It has been eaten since 1950s. Mainly people in Gero city, Takayama city and Gujyou city eat it. It is said that its origin is Jinghis Khan in Hokkaido. Both of them is cuisines fry meat and vegetables. It is based on miso taste. They are very similar. Chicken and cabbage are used.
How to make it? First, cut chicken into small pieces. Then, soak in soy sauce. After that, add miso and salt. Second, cut cabbage into small pieces. Next, fry them. Sometimes we use Udon together.
It is very delicious. Recently people who do not live in Gifu also eat it. You might eat it. I recommend it.
